The next Samsung Galaxy Watch 4 series rumors are heating up, and it looks like official answers are on the way. A reasonably reliable Samsung tipster said that the Galaxy Watch 4 and Active 4 are set to release in the next few months.
The Ice Universe claims that Samsung is launching two new smartwatches this year. Well ahead of schedule, this new launch includes a sequel to last year’s Galaxy Watch 3. An overdue successor to the Galaxy Watch Active 2 launched in 2019 is also lined up for this year.
Samsung is reportedly planning to release the Galaxy Watch 4 series sometime in the second quarter of 2021. The timeline of release would be somewhere around April to June. Samsung has not yet announced anything officially previously. However, rumors have opened the possibility of these smartwatches ditching the Tizen and instead switching to Android.
It might also switch to Wear OS. Blood Glucose monitoring even reportedly on the table for the company. If this is true, it could be a big boost to Google’s wearable platform, struggling for the past few months. Launching a new smartwatch with the Wear OC could be a massive vote of confidence among the company’s common public. It might also have a significant push to compete with Apple’s watchOS.
