Protein is an important component of the diet. Red meat is a source of high protein and rich in iron. Not all types of protein are good for the body. The study was published in the Journal of the American Heart Association.
Public health officials have warned people to minimize the intake of red meat due to various health risks. It increases the cholesterol level in the blood. People who eat unprocessed Red meat have the risk of dying from cardiovascular disease.
This is not the first study to research meat and dementia. A study which was done in 2016 found that meat consumption was the most important dietary link to Alzheimer’s disease. Women in the study who ate chicken had a lower risk of dying from dementia, while women who ate the most eggs showed mixed health results. The results are more likely to die from cardiovascular disease or cancer but were less likely to die from dementia.
Postmenopausal women who ate more plant-based proteins, such as tofu, nuts, beans, and peas, were less likely to develop heart disease or die prematurely from any cause. Eggs are among the most nutritious foods on the planet. One whole egg contains all the necessary nutrients. It is rich in vitamin B12, vitamin D, and several other antioxidants, which together help to keep us healthy and prevent chronic diseases.
